Our mission is to create a great tasting beer that just happens to be non-alcoholic.

We are Portlanders, but when we lived in Germany and experienced the culture at their local breweries we were inspired. Every German Gasthaus had classic beer styles in both traditional and “alkoholfrei” options. We loved how people could switch between beers and “alkoholfrei” beers and not miss a beat.  Eitherway, the flavors were always authentic and pure.

In Oregon, a state known for great tasting beer, why was there no local alcohol free option? We knew there was an opportunity to allow people to have authentic beer that was local and delicious. 

We believe the noble animals in Oregon need space to live free and roam. RoNo is partnering with The Forest Park Conservancy to help keep the Forest and it’s inhabitants alive and flourishing.

    Drinking our favorite German alcohol-free beer at our local Gasthaus in Weisendorf, Germany.

  • Portland, January 2021

    We partner with Oregon State’s Food Innovation Center to create the best local recipe for our beer.

  • April 2021

    We begin tasting our first benchtop versions of our Pilsner.

  • June 2021

    We have a eureka moment with our method, thanks to the help of other Portland brewers + friends.

  • September 2021

    We begin work on our first scale-up batch with our brewing partner, Gilgamesh Brewing, in Salem, Or.

  • November 2021

    We start the scale-up process with our amazing partners at Gilgamesh Brewing.

  • December 2021

    We formalize our purpose + partnership with Forest Park Conservancy.

  • March 2022

    Each batch brings new insights and new challenges!

    We do our “Beta” launch with our Northwest unfiltered Pilz + get thoughts from the community. Test and taste!

    First IPA for sale in Portland area.
